慈恩

Compassion and grace, merciful favour; name of a temple in Luoyang, under the Tang dynasty, which gave its name to Kuiji [lang id =1028]窺基 q.v., founder of the [lang id =1028]法相 school, known also as the [lang id =1028]慈恩 or [lang id =1028]唯識 school; he was a disciple of and collaborator with Xuanzang, and died A.D. 682.
